Today, 75 days after corrupt ex-Speaker Larry Householder was arrested in what a US Attorney called "likely the largest bribery, money laundering scheme ever perpetrated" in Ohio,
the Ohio Senate Democrats' Campaign Team again called on State Rep Niraj Antani to donate over $12,000 he received from Householder.
"Niraj Antani accepted thousands of dollars from a corrupt politician who has been arrested in connection to a $61 million bribery and racketeering scandal. Why would he keep that money?" asked Millie Vaughan, Executive Director for the Ohio Senate Democrats.
"Antani is already in legal trouble for illegally failing to report much of his Householder money. It's a really bad look for him to refuse to donate tainted campaign contributions as well."
State Rep Niraj Antani is currently in legal trouble for illegally failing to report $5,000 he received from Larry Householder.
Shortly after receiving the hidden $5,000, Antani voted for Householder to become House Speaker.
Niraj Antani is running against Former Air Force Fighter Pilot and Current Air National Guard Commander Mark Fogel for Ohio Senate District 6 in Suburban Dayton.
This open seat (currently held by Senator Peggy Lehner) is one of the most likely to flip to Democrats in 2020.
Mark Fogel is a Former Air Force fighter pilot and current Air National Guard commander. He works with young veterans as senior leadership development manager at GE, and is also a member of the faculty at the University of Dayton.
